Tamás Kovács successfully defended his PhD dissertation, “Fusing prior knowledge and sensory evidence: ideal observer modeling in perceptual decision making,” at the CEU Department of Cognitive Science in Budapest. His committee included external examiners Constantin A. Rothkopf (Technical University of Darmstadt) and Xaq Pitkow (Carnegie Mellon University), supervisors Máté Lengyel and József Fiser, and committee chair Ágnes Melinda Kovács.
